Manage Award Wages with Meridian

Meridian does not house an award interpreter engine, but it enables you to easily manage award conditions through pay classes. Pay classes are used to group rates and they can be applied to a single employee or to a group of employees so that you can make quick ‘across the board’ changes when required.

Pay classes are flexible and customisable and are set up according to your requirements. Alterations to a pay class will automatically be reflected in those employee records where that pay class code has been applied. Payment-related reports and payslips indicate whether an employee is linked to a pay class.

The information allocated within the Pay Class can include:

• Yearly salary
• Auto pay amount
• Rates of pay: normal, time and a-half, double time & other rates
• Award rate
• Award hours paid
• Leave rates
• Allowances
• Cost account
